Stephanie Dagg is a Psychotherapist and Psychometrist with considerable experience providing comprehensive psychological assessment and psychotherapy services to individual adults. She draws upon various evidence-based approaches for the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues, including but not limited to, challenges with anxiety, mood, relationships, work and school, life transitions, identity and personality, emotion regulation, trauma and related conditions, substance use, cognition and executive functioning, body image, self-esteem, sleep and routine management.

Stephanie incorporates and integrates several modalities throughout her work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and continues to expand her toolkit through various professional development opportunities. She operates from a collaborative, client-centred and trauma-informed place, while tailoring her approach to your individual needs. Her goal is to work with you as a fellow traveller, provide a soft place to land, help you navigate life’s adversities, uncover meaning and connections within yourself and your relationships, while leveraging and expanding upon what is within you.

She graduated with a Master’s in Psychology (MPsy) in Clinical Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School, and is currently under supervision of Dr. Erica Martin, Lori McGrimmon and Kerrie McFadden), working towards registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). She completed her BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Trent University, and was the Governor General’s Academic Medal recipient. She is currently working towards publication of her thesis work which focused on the self-medication model of anxiety disorders using alcohol and cannabis, while exploring the mediation and moderation effect of emotion coping, gender and age variables. For over a decade, Stephanie has gathered clinical and research experience, including working for the Canadian Mental Health Association, Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (CMHA HKPR) in the Road Ahead Mobile Wellness Clinic, in private practice, and volunteered with the Distress Centre Durham. Prior to her experiences in Psychology, Stephanie also completed a BSc (Hons) in Biological Chemistry at Ontario Tech University, and worked in Research and Development as an Analytical Chemist in the pharmaceutical industry for 3 years.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys music, delicious food, exploring nature, and travelling with her husband, dog, and cats.
