Alli Pfaff, MMT, RPq, MTA
Psychotherapist
Alli Pfaff (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and an accredited Music Therapist with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists. She holds a Master of Music Therapy (Wilfrid Laurier), a BFA with Honours (York), and a BEd (Queen’s), and spent over a decade as a music educator in diverse settings.
Alli has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults in private, institutional, and not-for-profit settings. Her clinical focus includes child and adolescent development, grief and loss, and the treatment of anxiety and depression. She also brings specialized experience in supporting 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and communities with affirming, identity-informed care.
Alli strives to create a warm and welcoming space where people feel supported and valued. Working from a non-judgemental, strengths-based approach, she integrates traditional talk therapy with music and arts-based experiences as a pathway for self-expression, exploration, and change. She honours each person’s inherent creativity, regardless of prior musical or artistic training.
Through this creative process, clients are supported in navigating difficult life experiences and discovering new perspectives. When not at the piano or guitar, Alli is raising her child, enjoying time with loved ones, and dancing her heart out in community.
Ms. Pfaff has expertise in a variety of areas, including (but not limited to):
Child and adolescent development
Grief and loss
Anxiety and depression
Caregiver stress
