Nicola McDonald-Kittega graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies. She is currently pursuing further clinical experience while working toward her long-term goal of joining a Clinical Psychology Master’s program and ultimately completing her PhD to become a psychologist. Nicola is deeply passionate about not only providing meaningful therapeutic support to individuals, but also contributing to the broader field of psychology through continued learning, research, and clinical practice.
Alongside her administrative role at Core Therapy and Assessment Centre, Nicola also works as a psychometrist supporting the psychological assessment process for children, adolescents, and adults. Under Kerrie McFadden's supervision, she administers standardized measures assessing cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning to help diagnose and understand presentations such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and learning disabilities. This clinical work has further strengthened her passion for psychology and her desire to continue advancing her education and professional development within the field.
Outside of work, Nicola has a strong passion for travel and immersing herself in different cultures and communities, always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and perspective of the world. She also enjoys listening to music and podcasts, reading, creative expression, and spending as much time as possible surrounded by nature.
