Luminita Baia is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology – Family and Couple Counselling, and a Master’s Degree in Probation, Parole, and Reintegration, both from the West University of Timisoara, Romania. She also holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Social Work from the University of Bucharest, Romania.

Luminita has several years of clinical experience in both public and private settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, community agencies, schools, child and youth services, and private practice.

She also has experience conducting psychological assessments in legal contexts, providing expert testimony in court proceedings, and supervising and mentoring graduate students.

Luminita’s training and expertise enables her to support clients across a variety of therapeutic approaches including trauma-informed therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, exposure therapy, strengths-based therapy, family and couples therapy, solution-focused interventions, and person-centered therapy.

Luminita provides therapy in both English and Romanian, and is committed to creating a respectful, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and supportive space for all clients.
