“No dress rehearsal, this is our life.”

 – The Tragically Hip
(arguably one of Canada’s most iconic bands, who spoke with insight through their lyrics)

Inspired by the enduring words of The Tragically Hip, “No dress rehearsal, this is our life,” our therapeutic space is built on the belief that every single day matters. There’s no script, no second take—just the raw, real, beautiful truth of living. Life isn’t always easy. PTSD, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm can weigh heavily, making it hard to see a way forward. But you’re not alone. I’m here to walk beside you, not in front, not behind, but with you. My mission is grounded in empathy, lived experience, and a deep belief that healing begins when someone meets you where you are.

Lori McGrimmon brings warmth, insight, and a deep commitment to healing in her role as a Psychological Associate, registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. With a Master of Psychology degree from Adler Graduate Professional School.

Her journey into psychology was shaped by nearly two decades as an elementary school teacher, following her Bachelor of Education from Brock University. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from the University of Guelph.

Lori offers an eclectic and client-centred path to healing. She listens deeply and collaboratively tailors treatment options to meet each individual’s needs. For those wishing to explore and heal from traumatic experiences, she offers both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Her work is also anchored in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), helping clients understand the dynamic relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. To foster emotional regulation and resilience, she draws on strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Whether you're seeking support through trauma, life transitions, or emotional challenges, Lori offers a compassionate space to explore, heal, and grow.

Lori works with transitional-aged youth (18 to 24 years of age), First Responders, and adults. She has a particular interest in the following areas, including (but not limited to):

  • PTSD and trauma

  • ADHD Assessments (adults only)

  • Anxiety disorders

  • OCD

  • Workplace stress

  • Life transitions

  • Relationship Challenges

  • Setting Boundaries
