Cynda Ashton is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has completed a Bachelor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia as well as a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
Ms. Ashton has experience working with preteens, teens, and young adults and has practiced both individual and family therapy in various hospital and community settings. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Ms. Ashton strives to create a supportive environment where youth and families feel comfortable and able to share. She uses a non-judgemental, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed approach and aims to empower clients to work towards healing and making changes in their lives at their own pace.

Family transitions (separation/divorce, pregnancy, blended family, parent-teen conflict, etc.)
Eating disorders
Sexual orientation and gender identity

Monday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm (in person)
Friday 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (virtual)
